Artist Introduction
Sisa is a contemporary artist living and working in the Dallas Texas Metroplex. Born in 1972 in Pampa, Texas but lived most of her life in Amarillo, Texas. This self-taught artist won her first art contest at the tender age of eleven. At age10, she was awarded the National Donrey Award in 1983. Her award winning painting was published and placed on billboards, made front page news, and articles were written in several magazines about the newly found child prodigy. At age 13, she won the Federal Express Safety Slogan Art Contest and was immediately enrolled into college art classes to pursue her destiny of becoming a “famous artist”. Sisa, however, rejected this predestined future and slowly withdrew from doing anything creative over the next 10 years, and instead, sought a future in financial investments. Success in the financial field and a few life-changing experiences later, her divine gift began to emerge again. In February of 1999, she quit her job in investments and moved to Dallas to pursue her dream.
