Maciej was born in Katowice, south of Poland in 1975. During his studies at Technical University in Gliwice he discovered his first passion - traveling.

After a few years his second passion - photography, followed the first. Since then he has spent most of his free time traveling around Europe. He specializes in landscape photography and prefers the cold beauty and wilderness of northern lands of Scandinavia. He started with analog cameras, nowadays he uses digital cameras - the new techniques providing more possibilities in landscape photography (HDR, panoramas stitching etc).  He exhibits his photographs in Poland and writes articles about landscape photography and post-processing of digital images for various European photo magazines.
