T Allom (born 1804) was born in Lambeth. He inspired many artists during his lifetime and even today many new artists look at his art as a source of inspiration. He had a life long ambition to become a professional artist, and directed all his energy towards achieving this dream. He was lucky that he grew up in an environment in which his talent was discovered early, nurtured and supported by those who appreciated his efforts.
